What you get

Length to drawing, a sawn face ready for further machining, and a certificate that still points to the cut piece. Large diameters are sawn with an allowance you know in advance.

Sawing does not change the condition

A cut bar is still +QT, +N or as rolled – what the mill delivered. If you need to go from as-rolled C45 to C45N, that is normalising, not sawing. The guide to bar condition explains the plus symbols on the drawing.

Rectangular sawing of steel plate – without heat-affected zones

Besides round bar and bar steel, rectangular band sawing of steel plate is a very popular solution at INDUSTRISTÅL. When a plate is sawn cold with coolant instead of being cut with flame, plasma or laser, there is no heat-affected zone (HAZ) and no burnt, hard cut edge. The part keeps its original material properties right out to the edge and is directly ready for milling and machining.

We supply from single cut pieces to larger series and cut the material to the sizes you need – order the quantity you actually need rather than a whole merchant length.
