S355J2 is weldable structural steel with Werkstoffnummer 1.0577 to EN 10025-2. J2 means documented impact toughness at −20 °C. It is welded. It is not hardened. +N is a delivery condition (normalised), not a different grade – S355J2+N is the same W.Nr. INDUSTRISTÅL supplies plate and bar, saws or cuts to size and ships with 3.1. The volume is often in plate. For hardened shafts it is C45 or 42CrMo4.

Sawing of bar and cutting of plate. Welding is carried out at your end. Plate is the volume; bar is sawn. EN 10204 3.1 as standard. The J2 impact value must appear when the drawing requires it.
