Tool steel is bought on W.Nr. and condition. 1.2379 is cold work. 1.2344 and 1.2714 are hot work. 1.2311 (Impax) and 1.2312 (Holdax) are mould steels. Trade names such as Sverker, Orvar, Impax and Holdax point to the same W.Nr.
