1.2363 (X100CrMoV5, AISI A2) is a cold-work tool steel with better toughness than 1.2379. Fewer carbides, slightly less wear resistance. Trade names: Rigor, K305.

What it is used for
Tooling that takes impact or off-centre loads, where D2 has cracked.
Limits
1.2379 when wear is what decides the tool. Not a stainless mould steel.
Delivery
We source 1.2363 / Rigor / K305 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, plate, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: soft annealed. Standard: X100CrMoV5. From one sawn piece of the block to a series of parts — with no minimum charge.
Certificates and documentation
1.2363 / Rigor / K305 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. Tool steel is bought on W.Nr. and condition, and we write the number on the paper that the mill can carry — not a trade name the certificate does not cover. If a specific delivery hardness is to be documented, it must be on the order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
