What it is used for
Smaller shafts and parts requiring hardening where the drawing says 34Cr4.
Limits
41Cr4 at slightly higher carbon. 42CrMo4 when Mo is needed for through-hardening.
Delivery
We source 34Cr4 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, square bar, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +QT. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
34Cr4 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. The condition is what the certificate has to carry on 34Cr4: as-rolled, +N and +QT are not the same product, and if a hardness or strength is to be documented in the delivered dimension, the requirement belongs on the enquiry. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
Dimension programme
| Form | Range | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Round bar | Ø20–400 mm hot rolled, forged above | QT bar. State +QT and Ø. |
| Flat bar | Cut to order | Not a standard range of widths. |
| Square bar | Cut to order | State side length. |
The range is a delivery programme, not a stock statement. Length is cut to your drawing.
