What it is used for
Welded structures, plate and bar in Grade B. Sawn or cut to size with 3.1.
Limits
Switch to a quenched and tempered steel if the part is to be hardened. S690QL when weight has to come down and the welding procedure can keep up.
Delivery
We source Grade B from European mill partners as welded tube, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +AR or +N. From a single cut length to full bundles — with no minimum charge.
Certificates and documentation
Grade B can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On welded structures it is the analysis, the strength class and — where the standard requires it — the impact toughness that the certificate must show. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials, and 3.2 is ordered when the project requires third party.
