What it is used for
Welded structures, plate and bar in X52. Sawn or cut to size with 3.1.
Limits
Switch to a quenched and tempered steel if the part is to be hardened. S690QL when weight has to come down and the welding procedure can keep up.
Delivery
We source X52 from European mill partners as welded tube, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +AR or +N. From a single cut length to full bundles — with no minimum charge.
Certificates and documentation
X52 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On welded structures it is the analysis, the strength class and — where the standard requires it — the impact toughness that the certificate must show. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials, and 3.2 is ordered when the project requires third party.
