Forged parts and blanks
We supply virtually all grades as forged parts – heat treated to the agreed condition and turned to size when the part has to arrive ready for clamping. Forging gives grain flow and dimensions the bar programme does not cover. A 3.1 certificate always accompanies the delivery, at no charge.

Forged rings
Large rings where the yield from bar becomes too poor, or where the core needs forged properties. They are forged, can be rolled and turned to size. Often 42CrMo4 or 34CrNiMo6. 3.1 is included at no charge.

How we deliver it
You decide how far along the part should be when it arrives. We take care of grade, allowances, heat treatment and machining, so the condition is on the certificate – not just the heat.

When it pays off
Large rings, discs, blocks and shafts where the yield from bar becomes too poor, or where the core needs forged properties. Often 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6 or tool steel. Typically for the machine industry, marine, energy and pressure-bearing jobs – when the drawing calls for a forged part, not a rolled bar.
