What it is used for
Plastic and mould tooling in 1.2085 / M315 — sawn from block or bar.
Limits
1.2312 for fast milling. 1.2083/Stavax when the mould has to withstand aggressive plastics.
Delivery
We source 1.2085 / M315 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, plate, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: pre-hardened or soft annealed. Standard: X33CrS16. From one sawn piece of the block to a series of parts — with no minimum charge.
Certificates and documentation
1.2085 / M315 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. Tool steel is bought on W.Nr. and condition, and we write the number on the paper that the mill can carry — not a trade name the certificate does not cover. If a specific delivery hardness is to be documented, it must be on the order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
