24CrMo5 is chromium-molybdenum steel with lower carbon. Used for parts that must be hardened with good toughness, often in heat and pressure.

What it is used for
Bolts, flanges and machine parts in the lower Cr-Mo range.
Limits
25CrMo4 or 42CrMo4 when EN 10083-3 is the standard the drawing knows.
Delivery
We source 24CrMo5 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, square bar, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +QT. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
24CrMo5 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. The condition is what the certificate has to carry on 24CrMo5: as-rolled, +N and +QT are not the same product, and if a hardness or strength is to be documented in the delivered dimension, the requirement belongs on the enquiry. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
