What it is used for
Cutting edges, drills and milling cutters in ASP 2042 / M42 PM.
Limits
M2/1.3343 is the standard. Cobalt and PM when red hardness has to go further up.
Delivery
We source ASP 2042 / M42 PM from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, plate, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: soft annealed. Standard: HS2-9-1-8. From a single cut length to larger lots — with no minimum charge.
Certificates and documentation
ASP 2042 / M42 PM can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. Tool steel is bought on W.Nr. and condition, and we write the number on the paper that the mill can carry — not a trade name the certificate does not cover. If a specific delivery hardness is to be documented, it must be on the order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
