C35 / 1.0501 non-alloy structural steel
C35 / C35E is non-alloy quenched and tempered steel. Less carbon than C45, so slightly tougher and slightly lower hardness after QT.

What it is used for
Shafts and machine parts in small sections where C45 is on the high side.
Limits
Through-hardening is limited. 42CrMo4 when the diameter grows.
Delivery
We source C35 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, square bar, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +A, +N or +QT. Standard: C35E. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
C35 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. The condition is what the certificate has to carry on C35: as-rolled, +N and +QT are not the same product, and if a hardness or strength is to be documented in the delivered dimension, the requirement belongs on the enquiry. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
