What it is used for
Simple moulds, backing plates and wear parts where alloy tool steel is more than the job requires.
Limits
C45 when it is a shaft and EN 10083. 1.1730 does not replace 1.2312 in a plastic mould.
Delivery
We source C45W from European mill partners as plate, flat bar, round bar, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +A, +N or +QT. Standard: C45U. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
C45W can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. The condition is what the certificate has to carry on C45W: as-rolled, +N and +QT are not the same product, and if a hardness or strength is to be documented in the delivered dimension, the requirement belongs on the enquiry. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
