Weldable structural steel
S355MC / 1.0976 non-alloy structural steel
S355MC is thermomechanically rolled structural steel to EN 10149. MC gives good formability in thinner material at 355 MPa — it is not S355J2 in heavy plate.

What it is used for
Cold-formed sections, chassis and parts that are bent rather than welded in heavy thicknesses.
Limits
For welded structural plate it is S355J2. MC does not replace J2 on a slot weld in 30 mm.
Delivery
We source S355MC from European mill partners as plate, flat bar, round bar, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +AR or +N. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
S355MC can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On welded structures it is the analysis, the strength class and — where the standard requires it — the impact toughness that the certificate must show. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials, and 3.2 is ordered when the project requires third party.
