X2NiCoMo18-9-5 is a maraging steel with nickel, cobalt and molybdenum. W.Nr. 1.6554 (also 1.6358). High strength after precipitation hardening — not a weldable steel like S355.

What it is used for
Highly loaded shafts, tooling and special bar where the drawing specifies maraging 250.
Limits
34CrNiMo6 when it is a QT shaft. Confirm W.Nr. and condition before we lock in the heat.
Delivery
We source X2NiCoMo18-9-5 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, square bar, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +QT. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
X2NiCoMo18-9-5 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. The condition is what the certificate has to carry on X2NiCoMo18-9-5: as-rolled, +N and +QT are not the same product, and if a hardness or strength is to be documented in the delivered dimension, the requirement belongs on the enquiry. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
