What it is used for
Mould inserts and tool parts that are carburised.
Limits
20MnCr5 when an EN 10084 shaft is what the drawing means. 1.2311 when the mould is already +QT.
Delivery
We source 21MnCr5 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, plate, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: pre-hardened or soft annealed. From one sawn piece of the block to a series of parts — with no minimum charge.
Certificates and documentation
21MnCr5 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. Tool steel is bought on W.Nr. and condition, and we write the number on the paper that the mill can carry — not a trade name the certificate does not cover. If a specific delivery hardness is to be documented, it must be on the order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
