What it is used for
Shafts specified 40NiCrMo6 or 4340.
Limits
Confirm whether 36CrNiMo4 or 34CrNiMo6 can carry the certificate.
Delivery
We source 40NiCrMo6 from European mill partners as round bar, flat bar, square bar, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +QT. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
40NiCrMo6 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. The condition is what the certificate has to carry on 40NiCrMo6: as-rolled, +N and +QT are not the same product, and if a hardness or strength is to be documented in the delivered dimension, the requirement belongs on the enquiry. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
