410S / 1.4000 is low-carbon 13 % Cr. Unlike 410 it does not harden — it is the weldable, soft sister of 410.

What it is used for
Cladding, pipe and plate where the drawing specifies 410S and not hardened 410.
Limits
410 / 1.4006 when the part is to be hardened. 3Cr12 when a 12 % Cr structural grade is what is specified.
Delivery
We source 410S from European mill partners as round bar, plate, flat bar, seamless tube, welded tube, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: annealed. Standard: X6Cr13. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
410S can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On stainless, the analysis and the delivery condition are what the certificate shows. If a specific test or an ageing/hardening condition is to be documented, it must be specified before we order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
