Alloy 31 / 1.4562 stainless steel
Alloy 31 / 1.4562 is a highly alloyed austenite (N08031) with Cu and Mo. Acid and chloride resistance above 904L — still stainless steel, not Alloy 625.

What it is used for
Acid pipe, flanges and fittings in chemical process.
Limits
904L or Alloy 28 when 1.4563 is enough. Alloy 625 when it is nickel.
Delivery
We source Alloy 31 from European mill partners as round bar, plate, flat bar, seamless tube, welded tube, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: solution annealed. Standard: X1NiCrMoCu32-28-7. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
Alloy 31 can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On stainless, the analysis and the delivery condition are what the certificate shows. If a specific test or an ageing/hardening condition is to be documented, it must be specified before we order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
