What it is used for
Aerospace and precision shafts where 17-4PH is the starting point.
Limits
17-4PH is the common industrial substitute when 15-5 is not specified.
Delivery
We source 15-5PH from European mill partners as round bar, plate, flat bar, seamless tube, welded tube, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: solution annealed or precipitation hardened. Standard: X5CrNiCu15-5. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
15-5PH can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On stainless, the analysis and the delivery condition are what the certificate shows. If a specific test or an ageing/hardening condition is to be documented, it must be specified before we order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
