430F / 1.4104 is a ferritic free-machining stainless steel. Sulphur gives good chip formation — and poorer corrosion resistance than 430.

What it is used for
Turned stainless small parts where 303 is too austenitic and 430 has to be machined.
Limits
430 when welding is involved. 303 when austenite is specified.
Delivery
We source 430F from European mill partners as round bar, plate, flat bar, seamless tube, welded tube, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: annealed. Standard: X14CrMoS17. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
430F can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On stainless, the analysis and the delivery condition are what the certificate shows. If a specific test or an ageing/hardening condition is to be documented, it must be specified before we order. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials.
