What it is used for
Welded hollow sections where S355J2H needs to go one step up without going to QL.
Limits
S355J2H downwards. S460NH when it is hot-finished 460.
Delivery
We source S420MH from European mill partners as plate, flat bar, round bar, seamless tube, welded tube, cut to your dimensions and ship the certificate with the material. Typical condition: +AR or +N. From a single cut piece to larger lots — with no minimum charge, so you do not have to buy a full commercial length to get what you need.
Certificates and documentation
S420MH can be supplied with a material certificate to EN 10204, depending on producer, dimension and the requirements specified for the delivery. On welded structures it is the analysis, the strength class and — where the standard requires it — the impact toughness that the certificate must show. EN 10204 3.1 can be supplied on a wide range of our materials, and 3.2 is ordered when the project requires third party.
Dimension programme
| Form | Range | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Plate | Only if the drawing is plate | H and hollow section grades are tubes. Plate is the corresponding EN 10025 grade. |
| Seamless tube | Ø6–Ø2000 mm | Seamless DIN/EN. Wall to EN 10220. State DN, wall and 3.1/3.2. |
| Welded tube | Ø6–Ø2000 mm | Welded DIN/EN. Wall to EN 10220. State weld seam and certificate. |
The range is a delivery programme, not a stock statement. Length is cut to your drawing.
